Responding to Problem Sexual Behaviours in Children and Young People in a Care Setting

This course is designed for carers and residential care workers and their team leaders and supervisors who want to gain an understanding of identifying and responding to problematic and harmful sexual behaviours in children and young people in a care setting. The course offers videos, readings and resources to support in depth learning to assist participants to: Gain a solid understanding of the definitions and causal factors relating to problematic and harmful sexual behaviours. Understand sexual development across the spectrum of normative to harmful sexual behaviours. Identify and manage risk and develop safety plans. Respond to problematic and harmful sexual behaviours using a trauma responsive approach.
